Internet bandwidth by enforcing a site-specific Web
access control policy. Uses a database of millions
of global URLs in 30 categories. You can select
which categories should be blocked at different
times of day, and which users are affected. The
database is automatically updated on a weekly basis.

SpamFilter |
Improves employee
productivity, reduces liability and reduces mail
server load by filtering unsolicited and
inappropriate email before it enters your network.
Detects spam through a combination of heuristic
analysis, word matching, white and black lists,
server authentication, address verification and
fingerprint checks. It accommodates different
business needs and risk tolerances by allowing
adjustments to spam detection rules, thresholds and
actions. You can configure SpamFilter to reject,
quarantine or deliver messages based on the spam
score.

Manager |
Increases the
granularity of access control provided by InstaGate
to better control and track employee usage, as well
as to recognize and prevent network attacks.
Firewall Policy Manager enables you to create
firewall policies that allow or deny traffic based
on parameters such as source address, destination
address and protocol. In addition, it logs all
access attempts, allowed or denied, so you can track
Internet usage and failed access attempts.

High Availability

Improves network
availability be allowing a backup InstaGate VPN/Firewall
to become active if an event compromises the primary
InstaGate. System configuration is automatically
synchronized between the two InstaGates to ensure a
seamless fail-over.

Protects
organizations by identifying and terminating attacks
and harmful traffic that would potentially damage
the network. Monitors all traffic, searching for
attack signatures. Can detect active attacks in
real-time and notify you of them, or can
automatically prevent them by configuring the
firewall to block the attack. Signature updates are
automatically downloaded to ensure protection from
the latest threats.

Enables you to host
public Web, FTP and DNS services on the InstaGate
appliance without requiring you to set up
complicated servers or pay hosting fees to services
providers. Provides HTTP and FTP servers for hosting
your Web site or exchanging files with partners and
customers. Provides a DNS server that allows you to
control your own Internet name services.

an email server with content filtering and security.
Provides a simple and inexpensive alternative to
Microsoft Exchange for customers that just need
basic Internet mail services, including POP, IMAP

direct-dial access to InstaGate services and the
company intranet, eliminating the need for an
Internet connection and VPN. Provides fail-over to a
backup Internet connection in the event that the

authentication server or RADIUS protocol.

corrective actions. This vulnerability assessment
tool provides you with detailed information about
the security of your network. Scans can be performed
on demand, or scheduled as often as every day, and
there’s no limit to the number of scans. Each report
provides a summary of vulnerabilities, ranked by
severity, and details and recommended actions for
each one.

customizable reports and charts that help you
analyze and understand how email, Web access and
bandwidth are being used. Runs on Microsoft Windows
and downloads log files from your InstaGate. There
are 13 types of reports including Most Popular
Sites, Sites Accessed by Person, Account Usage and
Hourly Usage. Reports can saved in Microsoft Excel
or HTML format.

VPN Client |
Provides secure
remote network access to home and mobile users.
Allows you to centrally configure and manage remote
access through your InstaGate. The Microsoft Windows
VPN client automatically downloads its security
policy from the InstaGate, so users don’t even need
to learn about VPN configuration. VPN Client uses
the industry-standard IPsec protocol and supports
3DES and AES encryption algorithms.

VPN Manager |
Enables centralized
management of a distributed network of InstaGate
appliances and mobile users from one location. By
centrally managing VPN deployments, you save time
and the chance of configuration errors from manually
configured multiple installations. VPN Manager
automatically updates all nodes when new InstaGates
or users are added to the VPN. VPN Manager also
supports InstaGates with dynamic IP addresses.

Webmail |
Allows users to send
and receive corporate email from any Web browser.
Webmail provides a Web interface to your InstaGate
or internal mail server, so remote users can check
or send email from any Web browser, without an email
